When I was younger (I'm 53 now!) I became an actress, and working in front of the camera demanded great skin care. I would get great D.I.Y. tips from top Hollywood make up artists and Beverly Hills dermatologists. So I continued my family's tradition and started making my own facial “elixirs” in my kitchen from crushed herbs, teas, oils, even fermenting my own fruits!
As I moved more behind the camera as a professional photographer and director, I stared at skin all day through the microscope of telephoto lenses and bright lights, and I became even more determined to find out what was keeping certain womens' skin dewey and bright while other women - even younger - had skin that was wrinkled, blotchy, and dull.
This never-ending passion has resulted in the super charged, toxic free, botanically rich and nourishing recipe of In Your Face Cream.
You Are Just A Jar Away From Great Skin!

We can turn back the hands of time by stopping those "things" (your skin) from changing EVERY DAY, by nourishing those cells, keeping them plumped, well fed, and hydrated with IN YOUR FACE CREAM!

I'm sure you've seen these in your skin care products; they're basically toxic fillers...
IN YOUR FACE CREAM
Let's look at some of these yummy ingredients...
Horsetail - An herb that’s used for lowering blood pressure and relieving sore throats taken internally to topically treating burns and wounds.
Shea Butter - From the seed of the shea tree. Seeds are split into two fractions, one having the moisture properties and one having the healing properties. The healing fraction of Shea butter is immense and has important nutrients vitamins and phytonutrients and is used to treat wrinkles, eczema, sunburn to name a few. There are large amounts of natural Vitamin A and Vitamin E found in Shea butter.
Jojoba Oil - A liquid that comes from a seed that Native Americans used to treat sores and bruises and today the uses have expanded to treating acne, psoriasis, sunburn and dry, wrinkled and chapped skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties and helps reverse cell damage to skin. It is a natural tool that removes bacteria and dirt, unblocks the sebum and dry skin build up on our face. It's also used for razor burn. And its antioxidants help slow down signs of aging. Jojoba oil can also accelerate the wound-healing process, as indicated in a study done at the Department of Environment and Life Sciences in Italy. The results proved that jojoba oil speeds up wound closures and stimulates collagen synthesis.
Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil are nutrient-rich wrinkle busters!
Grapeseed Oil - It is a great source of vitamin E and provides antioxidants for your skin and is loaded with moisturizing omega-6 fatty acids. An interesting study revealed the ability of grapeseed oil to help with oily skin and the treating of acne because it is high in linoleic acid which can reduce clogged pores.
Beeswax - Honeybees produce a natural wax, secreting it from glands on the sides of their bodies.
Beeswax protects, softens and helps hydrate and rejuvenate your skin!
Protective: When applied to the skin, beeswax forms a protective barrier that helps protect it from environmental assaults, while also holding in moisture and reducing dryness. Unlike ingredients made from petroleum, beeswax doesn’t “suffocate” the skin, and won’t clog pores.
Skin Softener: As a natural emoliant and humectant, atracting moisture to the skin and sealing it in keeping your skin hydrated over time.
Vitamin A: May be effective in hydrating dry skin and in cell reconstrction and can rejuvenate your the look of your skin!
Vitamin C Ester - It is less acidic than regular vitamin C which is water soluble and cant penetrate past your skins natural water barriers. C Ester is fused with a fat-soluble carrier oil making the absorption highly effective. At the same time, free radicals cause signs of aging. They lead to dark spots on the skin and can damage the collagen and this leads to wrinkles, dark marks, and pigmentation problems. By using Vitamin C
Ester topically, you can reduce the amount of aging you will see on your skin. The antioxidants will fight against the free radicals that will attack the damaged cells as they repair and grow again. You’ll also find it reduces redness and promotes new tissue growth as it helps build collagen. Vitamin C Ester increases the formation of elastin, which thickens, protects, and heals the skin cells. The thickening effect helps retain moisture, increases the skin circulation, and plumps up the skin surface. This wonder vitamin brings back a radiance and a glow to rough, blotchy skin!

Alpha Lipoic Acid - ALA is found naturally in the mitochondria portion of our cells, as part of an enzyme system that helps energy production. It’s both fat and water-soluble, meaning it’s easily absorbed through the lipid layers of your skin and works well as a free-radical fighter. By applying ALA topically to the skin, it can help increase cellular metabolism which is vital for skin cell repair. Menopause is often accompanied by skin that is thin and wrinkled. Estrogen gets depleted as aging excelerates. But studies show that antioxidants like ALAs help prevent this deficiency in older women. ALA helps regulate the production of nitric oxide, which controls blood flow to the skin. This is the secret to eliminating the appearance of dark circles and the reason ALA can help transform the complexion from dull, pasty, and pale to vibrant and glowing.
Coenzyme Q10 - Coenzyme Q10 (also known as ubiquinone) is a substance similar to a vitamin found in every cell of the body and according to the Mayo Clinic may help diminish fine wrinkles around the eyes. Collagen fibers deteriorate and adding Q10 can reduce this breakdown of collagen. It can have a protective effect against aging relating to lifestyle effects like smoking, sun exposure and lack of sleep.
DMAE - DMAE is short for dimethylaminoethanol and is an organic compound which is known to penetrate easily and tighten skin. It has been called "A facelift in a jar" by many skincare ads. It enhances the effects of antioxidants like A, E, C and ALA (all of which this cream has!). DMAE is one of the body's best defenses against natural free radical damage as we age and helps defend against skin sagging.
"this one jar is my go-to"
I certainly don't want a complex regime to keep my skin looking good and what I love about IN YOUR FACE CREAM is that this one jar is my go-to for day cream, night cream, dryness and razor rash. I even use it as a makeup remover after a day of thick stage makeup. Never thought I'd be loyal or excited to talk about a skin cream! Thank you, Denice!

Lavandin Grosso not only helps enhance blood circulation but helps speed cell regeneration and healing cuts and acne!
Lavandin Grosso - Is a type of lavender. It contains high camphor properties compared to regular lavender, which has none. It can enhance blood circulation and cell regeneration and has antiseptic properties that helps to speed the healing of cuts and acne.
Tocotrienols (Vitamin E) - Tocotrienols is a very potent form of Vitamin E, effective in repairing damaged skin. Your body doesn't make Vitamin E so it needs to be added topically or in your diet. It is one of the most important antioxidants found in food and used by your body for its healing effects. These effects are enhanced when combined with Vitamin C and ALA. Damage from the Sun's harmful
UV rays is one of the biggest enemies to the skin (leading to lines, wrinkles and sagging skin) and an important function of Vitamin E applied topically is to protect it from that damage.
Lecithin - A natural compound used as an emulsifier for softening and smoothing, and keeps skin intensely hydrated, especially for mature, dry, or overworked skin. It also helps carry nutritional ingredients to the cells to penetrate the skin.
Ylang Ylang - These are sweet smelling curly yellow flowers and from them is derived a cooling and soothing oil. It has been used for centuries for the skin as it helps to regulate the skins sebum (natural oil). The aromatherpary benefits of ylang ylang are endless, from calming the mind to boosting creativity.
Geranium Oil - This has so many benefits taken internally including cancer fighting properties, candida and adrenal health! And used topically, this phytochemical rich oil has an abundance of flavonoids which have anti inflammatory, anti fungal benefits, and improves circulation of the skin .
Enzyme Lactoperoxidase - This is an enzyme naturally present in fresh raw milk. The secret of Cleopatra's smooth skin has historically been attributed to milk! This enzyme has anti-microbial and antioxidant properties which have been very helpful in eliminating acne-causing bacteria. These same anti-bacterial properties act as a natural preservative to the cream itself.

My Family Tradition
I was born in NY as the fourth generation of living Italian women who chose NY as a home, for it was Rich with Mediterranean cultural influences on every street. See the picture to the right after my daughter was born - making 5 generations!
They weren’t rich. They made most of their own clothes, grew their own vegetables and herbs, we never dined out, we ate home as a family, cooking and laughing together and some of those same ingredients we used in food recipes we also used on our skin.
Yes, my Mom, my Grandmother, and Great Grandmother continued the Sicilian tradition of the simple and natural way of living. Living Pure. Living Passionately.
My Sicilian great-grandmother had dewy smooth skin up into her 90’s! She ate whole foods and used natural ingredients on her skin. “Healthy inside gives you healthy outside” she’d say.
There was always a little jar of olive oil in the medicine cabinet to be used as a make-up remover, facial moisturizer, and body lotion. She used lemon juice for my acne and for her dark spots.
No, your eyes are not playing tricks - this was 5 actual generations, from my daughter to my great grandmother!
As I grew up and lived on my own I became an actress, and the idea of paying half of my paycheck for a little designer face cream that was filled with mostly chemical fillers, just didn’t make sense. But working in front of the camera demanded great skin care. I would get great D.I.Y. tips from top Hollywood make up artists and Beverly Hills dermatologists. So I continued my family's tradition and started making my own facial “elixirs” in my kitchen from crushed herbs, teas, oils, even fermenting my own fruits! Makes GREAT gifts!

Good skin comes from eating plenty of veggies, avoiding processed foods, drinking more water (which is boring for me but I force it), naps if possible, and having people in your life who encourage your dreams! Consume less. Walk More. Let go of the past. Sever unhealthy relationships, drink green tea. Eat raw veggies, sweat every day, shut off the TV, plan a trip, help someone, sleep in darkness, smile at strangers… and use IN YOUR FACE CREAM!
From my face to yours,
