There are faster ways to make a face cream.
We deliberately don’t use them.
I formulated THE CREAM around skin longevity—not a temporary quick fix. I didn’t want a formula built primarily around water and inexpensive synthetic fillers designed to increase profit margins, fill a jar and give skin a superficial silky feel.
Longevity skincare leaves no room for wasted ingredients. Every ingredient had to have a reason for being there.
I wanted nutrient density.
I wanted to work with plant biology in a way that respected what plants actually contain, how those compounds can be extracted, and how they can work within a formula designed for the biology of our skin.
That philosophy became the foundation of THE CREAM—and the reason one of its most important components takes 30 full days, or 720 hours, to make.
We call it our proprietary Bio-TEA Ferment™ Elixir.

The Beginning
It Starts With Real Plants
We begin with pure organic green tea leaves, comfrey and a carefully selected blend of collagen-boosting, antioxidant-rich botanical herbs.
Plants are incredibly complex. They naturally contain phytonutrients, antioxidants, and lipids—but simply putting a drop or two of an extract into a formula isn’t the same thing as thoughtfully extracting what that plant has to offer.
Think about making a cup of green tea.
Would you dip a tea bag into water for three seconds and expect a rich, concentrated cup of tea?
Of course not.
Extraction takes time.
We apply that same philosophy to THE CREAM.
We slowly extract oil-compatible, bioactive compounds from our botanicals—harvesting their plant chemistry into a concentrated, lipid-rich olive oil elixir.
The Chemistry
Why an Oil Infusion?
This is where the chemistry gets interesting.
Plants contain many different types of compounds. Some are water-soluble, while others are oil-soluble, or lipophilic—meaning they have an affinity for oils and fats.
We give our botanicals 30 full days to release their oil-compatible phytonutrients and bioactive compounds into a concentrated, nutrient-dense elixir.
Why does that matter for your skin?
Because your skin barrier is also lipid-rich.
The outermost layer of your skin contains an organized matrix of lipids—including ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids—that plays an essential role in keeping moisture in and helping protect skin from the outside environment.
So instead of making water the star of THE CREAM, we create its botanical foundation in oil.

Why 720 Hours?
Because time is part of the process.
Our botanicals remain immersed in olive oil for 30 full days while the infusion develops.
Could we make THE CREAM faster?
Absolutely.
We choose not to.
Modern manufacturing often rewards efficiency.
How quickly can you make it?
How easily can you scale it?
How inexpensively can you make it?
We began with a different question:
What does this formula need to become the product we want to put on our own skin?

Why I Don’t Put “Croutons” in My Skincare
I have a strange analogy for the way I formulate skincare.
I don’t put croutons on my salad.
Why?
Croutons add flavor, crunch and texture, but relatively little nutritional value. No doctor ever said, “Your immune system is weak, your adrenals are shot and you have inflammation—I need you to eat more croutons.”
Nope.
We eat salads because, yes, they’re delicious—but we also want to nourish our bodies. So I’d rather use that space for something nutrient-dense, like pine nuts or garbanzo beans.

I think about skincare the same way.
Every ingredient has to justify the space it takes up in the formula.
A conventional moisturizer can contain a large amount of water along with silicones, acrylate polymers, petrolatum and other ingredients used to create slip, occlusion, texture or an immediately smooth skin feel.
Those ingredients can certainly make skin feel smooth.
But that wasn’t enough for me.
I wanted THE CREAM concentrated with ingredients selected as part of our skin-longevity philosophy—not synthetic fillers chosen primarily for texture, slip or manufacturing convenience.
That’s why THE CREAM is formulated without silicones, microplastics, petroleum-derived fillers, synthetic dyes or synthetic fragrance.
It’s my skincare version of skipping the croutons.
Less filler. More concentrated actives.
Nature Is Chemistry
Plant Biology Meets Skin Science
Somewhere along the way, the word “natural” started being treated as though it meant less scientific.
Myth.
Nature is chemistry. Plants are chemistry.
Human beings have been looking to nature for biologically active compounds for thousands of years. And modern science continues to investigate the extraordinary chemistry found in plants, fungi, algae and microorganisms.
Willow is one of the classic examples. Its naturally occurring salicylates ultimately helped lead scientists toward the development of aspirin.
Penicillin came from a fungus.
Nature and science have never been opposites.
Nature has repeatedly given science a place to start.
The same principle applies when we look at plants through the lens of modern cosmetic chemistry.
Plants contain an extraordinary range of compounds—including polyphenols, flavonoids, fatty acids, amino acids, sugars and polysaccharides, proteins and peptides.
Plant proteins and peptides are another area of scientific interest. Peptides aren’t inherently “synthetic” simply because we associate that word with a laboratory.
And conversely, don’t dismiss an ingredient because its origin is botanical.
Ultimately, the question is:
What does the finished formula actually do on skin?

We combine that concentrated botanical foundation with carefully selected antioxidants, peptides and nutrient-rich plant oils.
CoQ10
Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant naturally present in the human body. We incorporate it into THE CREAM for antioxidant support and to help support the appearance of firmer, more resilient-looking skin.
Hexapeptide-11
A peptide selected to complement our longevity-focused formulation and support smoother, firmer-looking skin.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba is technically a liquid wax rich in wax esters. We use it to condition skin and complement our lipid-rich approach to formulation.
Castor Oil
A rich botanical emollient that helps condition skin and prevent moisture loss.
Frankincense
One of the carefully selected botanicals that rounds out THE CREAM’s plant-rich formulation.
Together, these ingredients build upon the botanical foundation of our Bio-TEA Ferment™ Elixir.
